How do I view my Gumtree Pay earnings and sales history?

You can view your Gumtree Pay earnings and sales history on your Gumtree Pay page within your Gumtree profile. It shows your current balance, how much you've been paid overall, and a full history of your sales and payouts. This page is for sellers using Gumtree Pay.

To open it, log in and go to your profile (or "My Gumtree" in the app), then select Gumtree Pay. There's a step-by-step guide further down.

What is the Gumtree Pay page?

Gumtree Pay is a secure payment service that holds a buyer's payment safely until a sale is complete, then pays you out to your bank account. Your Gumtree Pay page gives you a clear view of that money at every step - from the moment a buyer pays, to the payout landing in your account.

Your payouts are sent to your linked bank account automatically, so there's nothing you need to do to receive them.

How to find your Gumtree Pay page

  1. Log in to your Gumtree account.

  2. Go to your profile (or "My Gumtree" in the app).

  3. Open Gumtree Pay.

    • On desktop, it's in the menu on the left-hand side.

    • On mobile web, it's on the top menu.

    • On the iOS or Android app, tap the 3-dot menu and choose Gumtree Pay.

What you'll see on the page

  • Your payout account status - whether your account is ready to receive payouts, or whether we still need something from you.

  • Current account balance - all the funds we're currently holding for you, whether or not they're ready to be paid out. This includes money held while a shipped item is being delivered and inspected, and any funds paused while a dispute is being sorted out.

  • Total paid out - the total amount we've paid to your bank account since you started using Gumtree Pay.

  • Earnings history - a list of your recent sales and payouts, each with its own status.

Getting set up to receive payouts

Before we can pay you, you'll need to verify your identity and add a bank account. Your payout account status tells you where you're up to:

  • Ready - you're all set and ready to receive payouts.

  • Not ready - we still need something from you, such as ID verification or a bank account. Go to your settings to finish setting up.

  • In review - we're reviewing your details and will email you the outcome.

  • Rejected - your payout account or ID verification wasn't approved. Please contact customer support.

  • Disabled - you've asked us to disable your Gumtree Pay account. Contact customer support if you'd like help.

Your settings, and the "Go to settings" button on the page, are where you add or update your ID verification and bank details.

Understanding your earnings statuses

Each sale in your earnings history has a status so you always know where your money is:

  • Funds held - we've received the buyer's payment. For posted items, we hold it until the item is delivered and inspected.

  • Scheduled - your payout is lined up and on its way to you.

  • Paused - your payout is on hold for now. This usually happens if a buyer raises a dispute or a payout attempt doesn't go through. Open the related order for details.

  • Paid out - your payout has been sent to your bank. It can take 1-3 business days to appear in your account.

  • Refunded - the payment was returned to the buyer, for example after a dispute is resolved or an order is cancelled.

Frequently asked questions

Q: When will I get paid? A: Once a sale completes, your payout is scheduled to be sent to your linked bank account automatically. After it's sent, it can take 1-3 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank.

If you're posting the item to the buyer, we hold the payment until the item has been delivered and inspected. Once that's done, your payout is scheduled and sent. You can follow each sale's progress in your earnings history.

Q: My balance shows money, but I haven't been paid. Why? A: Your current account balance includes everything we're holding for you, even funds that aren't ready to be paid out yet. For posted items, we hold the money until the item is delivered and inspected. Once that's done, your payout moves to "Scheduled" and then "Paid out".

Q: Can I withdraw or transfer the money on this page? A: No. Your Gumtree Pay page is view-only - it shows your balance and history. Payouts are sent to your bank account automatically once a sale completes, so there's nothing you need to do to withdraw them.

Q: What does "Paused" mean? A: It means that payout is temporarily on hold, usually because a buyer has raised a dispute or a payout attempt didn't go through. Open the related order to see what's happening. Once it's resolved, your payout will continue.

Q: My payout account says "Not ready". What do I need to do? A: This means we still need some information before we can pay you - usually ID verification, a bank account, or both. Go to your settings from the Gumtree Pay page and complete the outstanding steps.

Q: Should I wait until I've been paid before I post the item? A: No - please post the item as soon as the sale shows as Funds held in your earnings history. That status means we've securely received the buyer's payment and are holding it safely for you. For posted sales, your payout is only released after the item has been delivered and inspected, so sending it promptly is exactly what gets your payout moving. Waiting to post only delays your own payout - and holding up the buyer can put the sale at risk. You're protected either way, because the buyer's money is already held by Gumtree before you post.

Q: A recent sale isn't showing in my earnings history. What should I do? A: Your earnings history updates as your sales progress. If a completed sale still isn't showing after a little while, please contact our support team so we can look into it.

Staying safe

Gumtree Pay is designed to keep your sales secure, but it's always worth staying alert. Never share payment details outside Gumtree, always verify a buyer's request before you post an item, and report any suspicious messages straight away. You can read more in our scam prevention guide.
