Electrical Safety Approval Marks
E-micromobility products sold in NSW are now required to display an electrical safety approval mark within the ad itself. The approval mark should be clearly visible within the product description or another prominent section of your ad so that buyers can easily view the information before purchase.
A safety approval mark is an alphanumeric certification code issued when a product model has been approved under the relevant electrical safety scheme. This approval code appears on the product’s Certificate of Approval and helps confirm that the product has been certified for supply. Please be aware that a safety approval mark is different from a Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM).
If you are unsure whether your product has been certified or what approval information applies, you should contact the manufacturer or supplier before listing the item for sale.

E-Bike Compliance and Non-Compliance Tags
Online listings for e-bikes must also display the appropriate approved Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) showing whether the manufacturer has marked the e-bike as complying with European Standard EN 15194.
Where the manufacturer has identified the e-bike as compliant with EN 15194, you must include a copy of the compliance tag within your ad. Where the manufacturer has not marked the e-bike as complying with EN 15194, you must instead display the approved non-compliance tag.
These tags are intended to help consumers better understand whether an e-bike meets the relevant standards and legal requirements for use in NSW. Ads that do not display the required tag or approval information may be removed from the platform. Links to the tags can be found here
