Bump Up

The Bump Up feature moves your ad to the top of the category, below any Top Ads, when results are sorted by “Most Recent”. Your ad stays at the top of the category until other ads are posted, it will then move down the listings. By purchasing a Bump Up, the number of views on your ad will be reset to zero to "refresh" it.

Purchasing a Bump Up is the most cost effective way to get more views, as ads on the first page of a category get more visitors and more replies than ads on other pages. You can purchase a single Bump Up, or recurring Bump Ups and set them to be applied every 2, 3 or 7 days. This option is displayed under Settings, beside the Bump Up option on the Manage Ads page.
 

Highlight

Highlighted ads stand out from the other ads in the queue due to the darker yellow background applied when this feature is purchased. This provides greater visibility, therefore highlighted ads are likely to receive more visits and more replies than other ads without features.

The Highlight feature is applied for 7, 14 or 21 days when purchased individually. If it is purchased as part of an Ad Type (Plus, Featured or Premium) it will be applied until your ad expires. Ad Types can be purchased by selecting the Upgrade Button on the Manage Ads page.



 

Price Drop

The Price Drop label highlights your old price in red, helping your ad to stand out from the crowd. When you purchase a Price Drop label, it will also alert users who have your ad in their Watchlist that you have reduced your price.



To apply the Price Drop label, simply lower your price on the edit page and the option will appear below your new price.



The Price Drop label will be applied to your ad for 7 days. Buyers can also filter for ads with a Price Drop label by selecting the Featured Ads link under the Filter & Refine options beside the search results. 
 

Urgent 

Urgent ads are Gumtree ads where the seller has indicated that they want to sell their item quickly. Ads with the urgent icon stand out from other ads without this feature because of their different look: 


 

Not only do Urgent ads stand out, but buyers can also filter for Urgent Ads by selecting the Featured Ads link under the Filter & Refine options beside the search results. This lets buyers find sellers that want to sell their item quickly and may be willing to accept a lower than usual asking price. The urgent icon is available for purchase for ads listed in any categories and is applied for 7, 14 or 21 days.
 

Top Ad

Top Ads enable you to reach more people by being in the top section. More people read and reply to these ads than ads without features because of their prominent position on top of category listings. 

Top Ads tend to receive more replies than other ads on Gumtree that are not featured. This helps you sell an item quicker or get more exposure for your service. 

 
 

At most 6 ad per page at the dedicated Top Ad section in the search results will be shown. If there are more than 6 ads which were paid to appear as a Top Ad in a category, then the extra Top Ads will be shown in the next page of the search results and so on.

Buying a Top Ad does not mean that your ad will remain on the first page for the life of the feature. Top Ads will appear in a section at the top of a category's page, rotating alongside other paid Top Ads. This is to ensure all sellers with a Top Ad get equal visibility on the dedicated Top Ad section of the results pages, and enables us to give everyone that has paid, a turn in the Top Ads section.

Remember that Top Ads already have a prominent position in all search results on top of pages, so your Top Ad will appear randomly on a buyers search results whether it be on the first or subsequent search result pages.

Homepage Gallery

Gumtree's Homepage Gallery is a section on the homepage where your ads can be displayed for 7, 14 or 21 days. More people read and reply to these Ads because of their prominent position on the homepage compared to Ads located in specific categories.



The Homepage Gallery only shows a few ads at a time. If there are more ads than can be displayed, you can refresh the page to see more Ads. Please keep in mind that your ad may take a few minutes to first appear in the Homepage Gallery immediately after you pay for this feature.

Ads in the Homepage Gallery get more replies than other ads on Gumtree because of their prominent position on the homepage, which gets more visits than any other single page on the site. This helps you sell an item quicker or get more exposure for your service. Your ad will also continue to appear within the regular category and search listings, giving even more exposure even after your ad is no longer in the Homepage Gallery. You can see all Homepage Gallery ads for a category by selecting the Featured Ads link under the Filter & Refine options beside the search results.

If you purchase a Homepage Gallery as part of an Ad Type (Plus, Featured or Premium) your ad will be displayed in the Homepage Gallery until it expires. Ad Types can be purchased by selecting the Upgrade button on the Manage Ads page.

In accordance with the Terms of Use of the site, the fees for features are non-refundable unless the ad was deleted by Gumtree for violating site Policies. If you want your ad to no longer appear, simply delete the ad.
