How to edit, pause or delete an Ad?

The options to edit, pause or delete an ad are displayed just below your ad on the Manage Ads page:


 

To Edit your Ad:

1. Sign in and click on your name displayed at the top of every Gumtree page.
2. From the drop down menu, select Manage Ads. Simply click Edit below the ad you would like to change.
3. Change the details you want to update and click Save ad.

Please keep in mind that if your ad is featured (Top Ad, Homepage Gallery, etc) you won't be able to change the category of your ad.

To Delete your Ad:
 

1. Sign in and click on your name displayed at the top of every Gumtree page.
2. From the drop down menu, select Manage Ads. Simply click Delete below the ad you would like to remove.
3. We will send a message to everyone that inquired about your ad to let them know your ad is no longer available. If you would prefer that we don’t send an email you can untick the box beside this option.
4. Click Delete ad.

 
To Pause your Ad:
 

1. Sign in and click on your name displayed at the top of every Gumtree page.
2. From the drop down menu, select Manage Ads. Simply click Pause below the ad.

The Pause option lets you deactivate your ad, or remove it from the site, and you can un-pause it when you want the ad active again. This is helpful if you go on vacation and won't be managing your ad or have received an offer and don't want to receive inquiries from other buyers. It saves you having to delete the ad and then create a new one.

Once you pause your ad, the pause button will then say Unpause and you can click this button again to post your ad again at any time.

Please be aware that pausing your ad will not pause any paid feature that you have chosen to apply to the ad, and the running time of your ad will not change as a result of pausing your ad.
