How to turn on JavaScript? / How to check if JavaScript is turned on?



The settings are different depending on the browser. So please check your browser and the version and apply it correctly.

Firefox

  • On a Windows PC, go to Tools> Options
  • On a Macintosh, select from the right-hand top corner menu and click Preferences.
  • Click "Content" tab
  • Tick "Enable Javascript"
  • OK to close the window
  • Refresh the firefox

 
Safari

  • On a Macintosh, from the Safari menu, select Preferences.
  • Click Security
  • Ensure ‘Web content: Enable Javascript’ is on

 

  • On a Windows PC, from the right-hand side top corner pull-down menu which looks like a gear, select Preferences.
  • Click Security.
  • In the Security dialog box, select the Enable Plug-Ins, Enable Java, and Enable JavaScript checkboxes.
  • Make sure the Block pop-up windows checkbox is not selected.

 
Chrome

  • On a Windows PC and Macintosh, select Customise and control Google Chrome ( to the right of the address bar
  • Select Settings from the drop-down menu
  • Select Privacy and security…
  • Select Site settings
  • Scroll down to Content and ensure ‘Sites can use Javascript’ is switched on
