Gumtree Pay Service Fees

A Payment fee will apply when making use of the Gumtree Payments System:

Buyer
A surcharge fee will be charged at 1.5% of the transaction amount. This will automatically be collected when a buyer makes a payment and includes GST. The surcharge fee is an introductory offer for our first time customers, and is subject to change.

An additional platform fee charged at 0.5% of the transaction amount will apply, with a minimum cap of $1 and a maximum cap of $7.50

Seller
There is a platform fee charged at 0.5% of the transaction amount, with a minimum cap of $0.5 and a maximum cap of $7.50. This will automatically be collected when a buyer makes a payment and includes GST.

Example: 
The buyer and seller agree on the transaction amount of $150 for a chair. The buyer has a surcharge of $2.25 and a platform fee of $0.75 added to the total amount, equalling $153.23 that will be automatically collected when the payment is made. 

The seller has a platform fee of $0.75 automatically added to the amount, meaning they will receive $149.25 for the chair once the buyer sends the payment.
