Did you pay with Gumtree Pay and have the item shipped through the Shipping feature? If so, you may be covered by Gumtree Pay with Protected Shipping (for eligible transactions of $1,000 or less).
- Item arrived but isn't as described or is damaged: raise a dispute with Gumtree within 3 days of confirmed delivery. This pauses the seller’s payout while we investigate. Keep the item in the condition it arrived, and be ready to provide clear photos.
- Item hasn't arrived or tracking shows it's lost: raise a dispute with Gumtree as soon as possible so we can investigate with the seller and delivery provider.
- Missed the 3-day window? Protected Shipping no longer applies, but if the seller sold to you in the course of a business you may still have rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Contact the seller directly to arrange a resolution.
