Using Gumtree on Google Chrome

If you have not updated your Google Chrome browser to the latest available version, you may experience issues using Gumtree.

How to update your browser version:

  1. In the top right corner of the browser you will see three vertical dots. Click the dots.
  2. Select Help.
  3. Select About Google Chrome.
  4. If your browser is not up to date you will see an option to update at the top of the page.
  5. Restart your browser.

You may also need to clear your browsing data. Cached data in cookies can sometimes conflict with Gumtree if a page has been updated, resulting in errors when you attempt to load the page again.

How to clear your browsing data:

  1. In the top right corner of the browser you will see three vertical dots. Click the dots.
  2. Select the History option.
  3. Click Clear browsing data.
  4. Check off all three boxes: cookies, plug-in data and cached data and files
  5. Click the Clear data button.
  6. Restart your browser.
