It outlines Gumtree’s efforts to maintain a secure platform, including fraud detection tools, moderation practices, and community reporting features.  It also offers practical advice on avoiding scams, recognising suspicious behaviour, and protecting personal information. GUMTREE PAY

Say goodbye to the hassle of cash and hello to secure, convenient payments with Gumtree Pay, our new in-platform payment feature designed to make buying and selling safer and easier.



Secure Payment: Gumtree Pay processes all transactions through our trusted partner, Adyen, a leading global payments provider. 
Flexible Payment Options: Buyers can choose from a range of popular payment methods including Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. No need to switch apps or carry cash!
Seamless In-Chat Experience: Payments are handled directly within Gumtree Messages, so you never have to leave the conversation to complete a transaction.
- Sellers can simply click ‘Request Payment’ at the top of their chat window.
- Buyers just need to ask the seller to use Gumtree Pay.
